LPHS 50th Class of 1962 Reunion Committee

The La Puente High School Class of 1962 50th Reunion from September 7-9th, 2012 at Kellogg-West Conference Center and Lodge was a success. We had 84 classmates and friends attend the festive occasion. Maybe it is because we are all getting older, but it appeared that everyone had a wonderful time and the committee members didn’t appear to be stressed.
Speaking of the committee member… they should all feel good about what they accomplished. Putting together an activity such as our 50th Class Reunion can be daunting and very time consuming. Just in case you didn’t know, some of the committee members don’t live locally but still participate in any way they can. Having this type of a committee structure, keeps more classmates aware and they are involved in some of the decision making on classmate activities. If you look at the faces of the committee members in the picture above, you will see smiles all the way around. If you attended the 45th reunion on September 8, 2007 then you can understand why the smiles are on their faces. The joy that was in the air was felt by all who attended. We believe that what we experienced at our 45th reunion should be continually nourished by doing whatever we can to keep our relationships active in the coming years.
Again, we want our 50th Reunion to be the best one yet and we are trying to get as many alumni to attend as possible. We are asking you to be involved in any capacity in the planning of our 50th. No matter where you live, there is always something you can do to make this event a memorable one. We are all in our senior years and there is no way to turn back the clock. But, we do have a way to bring back good memories of our friendships during our high school years and that is by attending this function, if you can.
