Benefit Concert for Jim and La Donna Davis

On Saturday, March 8, 2008 Eleanor "C-Pass" Jones (see picture below) put on a wonderful performance for Jim and LaDonna in Diamond Bar. Even though the turnout was low, we had a large response from the alumni of the LPHS Classes of 1961 & 1962. We were hoping to raise at least $2,000 for Jim and LaDonna Davis for their dally living expenses and with help from many, we were able to give Jim and LaDonna $3,040. When they were presented with the donations, the Davises' were speechless at first, then showed their gratitude to the audience with tears in their eyes and smiles on their faces.

We would like to thank everyone that attended the concert today, and to thank all of you that had sent checks, but could not attend.

After the concert about 12 of our classmates took Jim and LaDonna for a late lunch at the Acapulco Mexican Restaurant in Diamond Bar. We arrive around 3:30 PM and stayed until 7:00 PM. Everyone had a great time. Pat took a lot of pictures of the concert and will be including some of them on this website. Thank you, thank you all, for helping to make a wonderful day for Jim and LaDonna!!!
